Do I correct myself?

I find myself when talking about Montana and anything about my parents I still refer to it as my parentS'. Should I stop and correct myself and say well, I mean my mom's. That just doesn't feel right. I feel if I did this it would be way too much of a sidetrack story and take to long to explain.
For example:
When referring to going to Libby for father day I often just tell people that we are going to my parents house in Montana. Then as I say that I remember why we are going and that really my dad is not there anymore. There have been a few times that I have paused after I said it and then just kept going with whatever I was going to say.
Weird, I know. I just wonder if other people do this. I know it does not matter what I say and it certainly would be an over share to unload why I am correcting myself. I know this all doesn't matter, but thought I could share it anyway.
